The goal of RBAZ is to get our members together 3 or 4 times per year for a fun face to face event. Our shared experiences mean so much to all of us. We have gone on some amazing adventures! Everything from riding on the Polar Express in Williams to taking in the thrills at Castles ‘n Coasters in Phoenix.

Who We Are
Retinoblastoma of Arizona (RBAZ) started in February 2001, when 4 RB mothers met through a worldwide online RB support group and discovered they all lived in Arizona. In March 2001, these Mothers and their kids met at a park then went to lunch at McDonald’s. They had such a wonderful time they decided to meet again, inviting their husbands to all subsequent gatherings. After meeting other kids with retinoblastoma and prosthetic eyes, their children’s self-confidence grew. They had met someone “just like them.” For the first year, these 4 families meet every month. As the RBAZ family started to grow, gatherings changed to 3-4 times a year. In 2003, RBAZ officially became a non-profit organization.
