Canyon was diagnosed with retinoblastoma on October 16, 2002, he was five months old. On October 22, his right eye was removed, and on the same day we found out that he had five tumors in his left eye. He has had many years of treatment, including laser therapy, cryotherapy, radiation plaque, and chemotherapy twice (the most recent round ending 2/3/2005). Canyon is now three years old and he continues to amaze his family everyday with his ability to handle anything that comes his way. He is a very smart, clever, funny and well adjusted little boy that lives every day to the absolute fullest. He’s ALL boy for sure!
