About Us

Retinoblastoma of Arizona (RBAZ) is available to all families living in the state of Arizona whose child (children) has/have been affected by the retinoblastoma cancer. Our mission is to provide support, information, and an atmosphere where children who are fighting or have survived this horrible disease can socialize with other similarly affected children. Retinoblastoma of Arizona provides a venue for all affected families to meet and partake in monthly offered support groups and to partake in various fun filled, educational, and/or supportive activities.

We contact newly diagnosed families of this horrible pediatric eye cancer and give them guidance, support, information, answer their questions, and give them any help possible that they might need that we can provide. We are able to give them hope and help them to deal with all aspects of this cancer from the initial diagnosis and throughout treatment to life after RB.

We try to arrange family activities/get-togethers for support and to stimulate camaraderie among those that have been inflicted with this life-threatening disease. Usually the gatherings are held in places that the children can play and socialize and parents can relax and visit. We hold some meetings in the Tucson area and some in the Phoenix area so no one has to drive a long distance every time.
